Celestial Bodies Writhe

Celestial bodies writhe

Stars may not be an answer

But they may be a key

At the end of the Earth

You find no more ground

Dust falling off the coast

Sail around for awhile

Nurture love & freedom

Return to find me here

Within you, I find truth

A value to be upheld

Know the stark secret

Platform Heels Pumped

Platform heels pumped

I bite down on your lip

To drink in the blood

Run fingers through your hair

Now pulled tight

Hike up your hem

You are soaked through

& I know I love you

Pompous, pretentious, false

Pompous, pretentious, false

Your split tongue dripping with lies

You’ve already wasted enough time

Loyalty fallen apart after too many tries

Run along now, chase after your girl

Your visual world shown to be broken & fake

Never found something from the heart

You never did anything if it wasn’t for your own sake

I gave you my heart & you broke it like the enemy

Year after year, your friendship grew rotten

Good luck living this life without anything real

Don’t worry about your friends, you’ll soon be forgotten

Ah, Carol, Another Chu-hi Please

Ah, Carol, another Chu-hi please

Here’s my five hundred yen

Please take away this pain

I’ll be much better then

Let’s waltz across Japan

Stopping only as we please

A cherry blossom for our luck

Drifting away with an Eastern breeze

Honky-Tonk Gringos

Honky-tonk gringos

Living out broken dreams

Seen every saloon floor

An eyeful across the beams

Rousing angst for a misdeed

Toss a nickel towards a spittoon

Each loss grows a little harder

Shot! dying under the desert moon

Ignore My Fantastic Ideas

Ignore my fantastic ideas

For they come out in reams

Please close your eyes

Lest you believe in dreams

Lost In The Frozen Night

Lost in the frozen night

This city doesn’t even know my name

I’ll escape back into my drink

Ice melting, still won’t play her game

My single cherry from the tree

Fallen but not so ready to fight

Your perfect plaid skirt in my eye

I miss you & wish for you each night

Push me away to wink your baby blues

My heart crushed with this distance

Come be the warmth at my side

Love me at my every insistence

Perfection Is A Fiddler’s Dream

Perfection is a fiddler’s dream
A good mood has no cork
Compliments make me blush
Marching through Frost’s fork

Hearing The Horns Blow

Hearing the horns blow
Words formulating up front
The notes mean more
When the tone is blunt
I scratch out a song
Finding life between letters
I’d quit while I’m ahead
If I knew any better

The Rose Grew Up In Treacherous Soil

young-girl-531252The rose grew up in treacherous soil

One in which most would recoil

This little rose endured all the pain

And grew stronger with each drop of rain

Its health soared with the sun’s rays

And this increased with each passing day

This luscious red rose became too pure

In came evils in which there is no cure

Protection was never even a thought

They came in with their goals to rot

The rose was attacked and made very weak

A way to survive, it did seek

So, around this sweet rose, a patch of thorns did grow

It grew thicker and deeper than anyone could know

The thorns became so thick they blocked the water and sun

The drops of water that reached the rose became none

The sun’s loving rays, it could no longer see

This beautiful red rose tried to break free

It soon realized that it was a victim of its own organic cage

And it would sit there and die amongst the thorns and sage
