We Don’t Have To Agree

We don’t have to agree
Friendship doesn’t require
Eyeball to eyeball to see
Equal respect is all we desire
You think those silly thoughts
I believe I’m right with mine
Together to deal with our lot
Common courtesy allows us to be just fine

Gotta Throw All The Words Out

img_0598

Gotta throw all the words out
No matter if they’re drivel or not
Get them high up into the sky
Possibly to cling to someone’s thoughts
Unconscious connections
Allow them to autonomously weave
Touching deep into a soul
& that we might once again believe

Seeing The Outline Of Curves Beneath Your White Linen Shirt

woman-1287170.jpg

Seeing the outline of curves beneath your white linen shirt
I’m trying to focus on the words you so eloquently say
I respect you completely, but I’m a weak man
Allowing my primal urges to get in my mind’s way

Circular Arguments In My Semantical Nature

london-999694.jpg

Circular arguments in my semantical nature
Feelings expounded in earnest in the rain
Taking life slowly without such hassle
Exact footsteps allowing you the least bit of constrain
Sleep remains to appear in reoccurrences
Unchanged in our former exasperating doses
Unable to look away in these sudden urges
Ticking away, starlight illuminates one supposes

Focused On Your Insignificant Flaws

skin-1200933.jpg

Focused on your insignificant flaws
In which no one else will ever see
Characteristics making you unique
Unchain your conscious & live free
Allow someone to finally love you
Let them express how they truly feel
No longer settle for defective models
Expect a beautiful life to always be real

The Sunsets Seem To Last Longer

sunset-983527.jpg

The sunsets seem to last longer

Before the darkness comes closing in

Walking alone, the beach seems haunted

Memories from before we allowed life to begin

I love the brilliant colors of Spring

Enjoying life in the sunshine I revere

Slowly the light fades, taking my joy

Night brings heavy thought & steps along the pier

Gnomes of Oracle

garden-gnome-379254

Many in the world will deny their existence
You will not find them in books which are historical
But hidden beneath the shrubs and trees
You might find the ‘Gnomes of Oracle’
They are kind little creatures
They go about their business, never doing any harm
Our small friends are rather shy
But that’s part of their charm
A vast system of caves dug deep into the earth
Winding tunnels descend down and begin to twist
In a central chamber beneath all that is known
Only a certain few are allowed, this they insist
Behind all else in the caverns below
The gnomes guard an old wooden box containing a treasure
Diamonds and gold cannot shine as bright as what’s inside
What the box holds is on what your life will be measured
Carved into the side of the box is a label, it simply reads ‘LOVE’
With nothing more valuable, nothing greater can be found
Once you have this, you need nothing else
This treasure is rare, but can be created from everything around
