Poseur Punks Stealing My Traditions

pirate-47705.png

Poseur punks stealing my traditions

Though they never earned the right

You cannot reappropriate a feeling

They’ve never been adrift under a starry night

These kids’ empty hearts & endless expectations

I left the sweat of my brow upon the sea

With too many of my nights away from home

In an entitled world; duty means a lot to me

Don’t Tell Me About Sacrifice

 sailor-671187

Don’t tell me about sacrifice
I don’t need your hypocritical words
A notion merely secondhand
A duty you constantly deferred
With my family soundly asleep
I’ll carry my seabag back to the dock
Taking with me their prayers
Never survive without them – my rock

Devoid Of Personality

swimsuit-1082220.jpg

Devoid of personality
Lacking in your domestic duties
But worse still
Ignoring your wife’s shapely booty
I just don’t understand
A queue for your chores
She’ll come wanting
The role of someone’s housewhore
Now, don’t you fret
I’m not going to step on toes
You still have opportunity
To provide all her throes
