Forgiving The Passionate Hubris

Forgiving the passionate hubris

The least fractured figment of my ire

But I’m not competing for affection

Denounced for their fateful friendly fire

So I’m taking the eastbound train

To remove myself from the glitterati

The Urban gentry called for my death

Betrayed by those who are rash & haughty

The train tumbles on through the rain

Steaming towards the next Highland city

Needing a respite from those judgements

From the girls who love to be called pretty

Riding Out These Rough Seas

sailing-ship-675214

Riding out these rough seas
Trying to shield our shipwrecked daughters
Storms moving in on us rather quickly
Feeling hell’s heat & it’s only getting hotter
From port to port, not knowing where to go
Living free & clear is the only way to live
Every day out on this cleansing ocean
I pray to the Lord, in the chance He might forgive

I Feel Tension Running Through My Veins

I feel tension running through my veins
Trying my best to control everything in my realm
Though I know I lost my rudder some ways back
Drifting at sea with a useless helm
This frustration trying to overtake my life
Searching everywhere for something to guide
Been far too long since I tossed out my anchor
Need to seek forgiveness & be grateful for the Lord at my side
