When I Was Young & Dumb

When I was young & dumb

Pretty girls with no souls were a distraction

My fancy bounced from every girl
Who chanced to flirt

Somewhere along the time
I figured out my priorities

I dedicated my heart
Searching for something pure
Something genuine

I found her
I knew

Down the road
Ten plus years later
She is still mine

I love her all the more
She doesn’t need me
But she wants me anyway

Girls With Their Knee-Highs

Girls with their knee-highs
Haute Couture, exposed at the side
But don’t believe everything you see
Smashed & forgotten; a murdered bride
Money left on the nightstand
A life shouldn’t be thrown away for such
Winter comes to erase memories
But down here, it doesn’t take much
She was already cast out, with her upturned jugs
A novelty for these professional suited men
They’ve wiped away (ass-print) the glass
Like she never happened, what will you do then?

Wanting To Dance Naked

Wanting to dance naked
Instinctively wanting to go down
Perfection within moonlight
Wearing her like a crown
Hearing her voice serenade
She’s what dreams are made of
Drifting off to Neverland
Knowing how Southern girls love

Forgiving The Passionate Hubris

Forgiving the passionate hubris

The least fractured figment of my ire

But I’m not competing for affection

Denounced for their fateful friendly fire

So I’m taking the eastbound train

To remove myself from the glitterati

The Urban gentry called for my death

Betrayed by those who are rash & haughty

The train tumbles on through the rain

Steaming towards the next Highland city

Needing a respite from those judgements

From the girls who love to be called pretty

College Magnetic Poetry Vol. 1

I eat her peach, like it was a screaming bed
Rob lathered her pink butt, like I said
She urges me to lick the bare breasts, or no head
They want the mist under the dress, and she is red
I cry, but think those rose petals are like a knife
My woman moans as we fall with spring through life
Smell sweet honey like a purple forest o’ eggs
He sees my finger smear next to the smooth hot leg
Watching two girls waxin’ & milkin’ without you
The gorgeous goddess needs his languid tongue to be true
Deliriously drunk & a repulsive moment recalls an ugly day
I felt the beauty whispering lust, wanting to play
Sweat leaves my apparatus juicy and shiny, always beating it away
Frantic spray floods the luscious garden from behind
Trying to swim beneath a language o’ an elaborate mind
Winter crushes drool over lovely eyes
On top, producing no sleep as we lie
Together, eternity is an essential chain
Manipulating me through bitter rain
Mothers can ask to stop, but still get to blow
I pound your fluff and then must go
Getting shot in some hair is easy when you are not above
Shadows o’ their enormous size is what you vision and love

Circa 1998

*Author’s Note: I feel I should explain this mess. It was written in college on a buddy’s fridge with the non-x-rated magnetic poetry. It is horribly juvenile and I love it all the more for that reason.

Pretty Girls Never Fight Fair

Pretty girls never fight fair
When it comes to matters of the heart
So quick to bat those lashes
That’s when I start spiraling apart
I get fidgety & anxious
Unraveling before their doll-faced eyes
A stuttering, blubbering mess
Quick to pass on, without noticing my demise

Floating Mercilessly Through Life

Floating mercilessly through life
There’s a frightful hurt I can’t express
Another evening to fill the shadows
Gotta love the girls who say yes
Travels to the end & back
You owe them something you can’t be sure
Debts from so long into the past
Former lives back when we were pure
Standing naked in front of the bench
Those were the days when we really flew
Tears fall in thought for lost souls
In my prime, I could take out a whole slew

Resting Against A Palm

Resting against a palm
Girls dancing in sepia tones
Dripping in summer hues
Reaching out on a cellular phone
Locals within their beaches
A home in the sweet, salty air
Life set at a softer pace
Of nothing more peaceful I’m aware

Please Stop

Please stop apologizing, girls
I’ll tell you when you’ve crossed a line
You can tell me anything
Let me pour ya’ll another glass of wine
There’s no reason for us not to talk
About anything that burdens your mind
So, unload your pretty lil’ heads
Let the night wander to where it might find
