Lady, I’m Not Writing

Lady, I’m not writing to become famous
No interest in collecting a handsome fee
I write to ease my soul’s burden
I write so that might become free

It’s Been A Long Night

It’s been a long night
My soul is now creaking
Make me feel good (handsome)
A soft bed is all I’m seeking
My head hurts from fatigue
Your sweetness now applies
Lay me down to slumber
With mercy in your eyes

We’ve Built Our Mysteries & Fantasies

We’ve built our mysteries & fantasies
Every time we close our eyes
I’m not rich nor the most handsome
No reason to dispel all those lies
But you’re everything to me
Excited whenever I tug on your hem
I wish I’m the one you hope to see
Each & every time you open them

Once Upon A Time

vacation-888817

Once upon a time
In the land of kings & crowns
Princesses spoke in rhymes
With a belief in magic to be found
Giant castle walls
Alligators living in the moats
Knights clanking big & tall
Gentlemen in handsome coats
The ladies sitting down for tea
Each with a jeweled pillow to sit
Dressed grandly in all their finery
Each wee lass of the proper etiquette
Fairies danced above their heads
Their wings spraying drops of glitter
Like a whisper as thin as thread
Laughter rising as the pixies flitter
Wonderful to sip from cups & plates
Smiles abound on everyone’s face
Much nicer when no one’s late
Together is the happiest place
