There’s Something To Be Said For Going Outside

There’s something to be said for going outside
Wallowing in the dirt, smearing it on your skin
Returning your soul to the Earth, to be truly free
There’s only one life; you’ve got to get it in
Remove society’s reign over your instincts
Dance unhindered; strip & frolic completely bare
Be at peace with the natural world’s glory
Stand proudly and let your nips feel the harvest air

My Soul Fills With Song For Uncle Walt

My soul fills with song for Uncle Walt
Years of running in circles
Trying to find my voice
He whispered his love in my ear
My wheels slipping on the rails
I turn, ready for the future
Ripping down my walls
Looking outside for someone to share
Hiding in shadows no more
I shall set sail for those lost dreams

Springtime Popping Outside

Springtime popping outside
Listening to my Celtic tunes
Grateful for a house to clean
Reports of rain coming soon
Darling damsels at my feet
Enjoying these warmer days
Dancing with pointed toes
Laughing as we let the bagpipes play

The Wind Howling At Midnight

The wind howling at midnight
Broken windows – open to the outside air
Exposed to the communal by-passer
Her soul had fallen into disrepair
Fatigue & listless emotions manifesting
Immune to careless compliments
Time to pause & regroup her focus
Happiness born from common sense
