I Want To Get Tangled In Your Dreams

I want to get tangled in your dreams

Full on, not just a healthy smattering

I want to lose control & my sanity

To consume your love, not just flattering

I’m not content to whisper pretty words

I want to get dirty; succumb to all your feats

Tell me each & every fantasy, but say them slow

We have the rest of eternity to get tangled in our bedsheets

Watching The Sun Rise Over Norge Hills

norway-2144785_1920

Watching the sun rise over Norge hills
Waiting for nature to gently overspill
These are special days, even if we don’t see
Reality collapsing into itself; the only place we can be
Still quiet homes with subdued families at rest
Admiring the calm while it’s still at its best

Looking Up At The Glowing Moon

Looking up at the glowing moon
A remarkable passion slowly burns
Falling stars in the North Sea’s night
Resting quietly upon my weary stern
Scanning horizons of a cloudless sky
Each rogue wave taken in ample stride
The fervent dreams of your sweet nectar
Coming precariously closer with each tide
Through our distant & complete adoration
You, the only one who could be my lady fair
Chanced to love me entirely & selflessly
Back where my necessities were laid bare

I Sit Overlooking The Harbor

I sit overlooking the harbor
I’m wearing a silly sort of grin
I watch the sails disappear quietly
All the while, sipping a shade of gin
Otis replaying within my mind
His gentle soul resting upon my ears
I’m anxious, but that won’t matter
For the sea will swallow all your fears

I’m Standing Under Swaying Palms

hemingway-654827.jpg

I’m standing under swaying palms
Holding a delicious boat drink
I especially like the little umbrella
Time away from life – don’t have to think
Smelling like lotion, salt & a sunburn
My soul has truly needed this rest
But without you here by my side
My heart is still a million miles from Key West

Once Again Fog Hides The City Away

san-francisco-733490.jpg

Once again fog hides the City away

No worries about being burnt by the sun

Another beautiful morning by the Bay

My legs have grown tired, I can no longer run

I need to rest down by the docks

I’m here to start a new life by the coast

No longer shall live life by the clocks

Life in the desert was only tolerable at most

I’m looking for a woman with golden hair

I wish to rest my head where I no longer weep

She said she’d be waiting out there

Will I ever get any of that peaceful sleep

Hell Can Wait, For I’ve Got More To Do

sleeping-1159279

Hell can wait, for I’ve got more to do
Waking to black birded cries this morning
Sore eyes littered with midnight dreams
Waking to a shattered world without warning
Knowing more than any man should know
Wanting to save you, but I don’t have the right
Hushed voices upon my broken doors
Please don’t question my fragile might
Pushing off from your delicate terrors
This world has never been so murky & deep
But I will try again to rest my weary head
I will try again to fall peacefully asleep

Resting Against A Palm

blonde-768681.jpg

Resting against a palm
Girls dancing in sepia tones
Dripping in summer hues
Reaching out on a cellular phone
Locals within their beaches
A home in the sweet, salty air
Life set at a softer pace
Of nothing more peaceful I’m aware
