Dreams Are Perfumed Illusions

architecture-2597556_1920.jpg

Dreams are perfumed illusions
Of what we don’t ordinarily see
Visions of alternate existences
Some of what should never be
But go ahead & embrace fantasy
Never lose your grip on what’s real
Convincing yourself to slowly stray
It’s not a truth, just because you can feel

You Know The Feeling

dress-2542263_1920.jpg

You know the feeling
You don’t remember what you’re thinking about
You sense something is missing
& you’re racked with constant doubt
That woman is in your dreams
You try, but you’ll never forget her fertile mind
The way she made you feel worthy
The last visions of her fading behind

Twisting A Thoughtless Sin

wedding-dresses-1486005_1920.jpg

Twisting a thoughtless sin
Fantasies of a transitive meld
The secrets of within
The pleasures she coyly withheld
Standing firm in the shadows
Knowing a subdued dream
The power behind my actions
The vision of a woman supreme

I’m Tired, Weary, Fatigued, However You Want To Call It

nature-2576510_1920.jpg

I’m tired, weary, fatigued, however you want to call it
This world is tearing itself apart, with no end in sight
Neighbors can’t stand the appearance of each other
If we don’t swerve, we’re all going to face the fiery night
Reject hate, reject them, reject the world’s system
I don’t care if kindness long ago went out of fashion
Don’t accept your options, make your own way
We need return to art, return to love & compassion
‘They’ are anyone who’ll tell you we can’t survive
Without stooping down to unconscionable degrees
Rebel, refuse & reclaim enlightenment & love
Lead ourselves away from their dysfunctional societies
God reserves a place in Hell for those who spout hate
Whether you believe in Christ or what Buddha taught
Love doesn’t see the differences between us
We can do better; a peaceful way must be sought
Politicians are no more than door to door salesmen
Fraudulent purveyors of the American dreamscape
But we, the silent underground, emerging each day
Fed up with their vision, proof that heroes don’t wear capes

I Don’t Want To Live In Their World

washington-dc-1624419_1920.jpg

I don’t want to live in their world
Their vision of a society filled with hate
Families shot in the streets; senseless
While Washington’s rhetoric still disseminates
I don’t want to share this world with them
We owe it to our children to forever reject
The ballots filled with criminals & egomaniacs
Guide the future, before the bullies can eternally infect

A Wink From Her To Get My Heart A-Revving

people-2563426_1920.jpg

A wink from her to get my heart a-revving
Her pink negligee hanging below her knee
Soft skin turns into hardened intentions
The promise of a night of debauchery
A bouquet not desired, but a single bloom
Visions of adulation thoroughly taut
I’m rigidly attuned with her frequency
A fine suited man removing a Windsor knot
Fastened to my bedpost; a sailor can surely tie
Settling down with this libertine, methinks
A pretty picture of a delicious woman
Purely polished reflections in my cufflinks
Post coital; passion overflowing this room
Perfection amid people imperfectly real
Precious moments that I’ll never forsake
My woman’s love, allowing me to constantly heal

We Used To Know The Truths

people-2575608.jpg

We used to know the truths
The fundamentals of our lives
Misplaced inspiration in youth
We, the lost children, who survived
Abandoned by artists searching for gold
Forgetting the dream of accepting yourself
Never admitting we’ve grown this old
Rejection of impending imperial wealth
Fuck your Republicans & Democrats
Those who sold the vision with betrayal
Insensitive bastards of the Cheshire Cat
Unsteady appeasement & divided we fail

College Magnetic Poetry Vol. 1

I eat her peach, like it was a screaming bed
Rob lathered her pink butt, like I said
She urges me to lick the bare breasts, or no head
They want the mist under the dress, and she is red
I cry, but think those rose petals are like a knife
My woman moans as we fall with spring through life
Smell sweet honey like a purple forest o’ eggs
He sees my finger smear next to the smooth hot leg
Watching two girls waxin’ & milkin’ without you
The gorgeous goddess needs his languid tongue to be true
Deliriously drunk & a repulsive moment recalls an ugly day
I felt the beauty whispering lust, wanting to play
Sweat leaves my apparatus juicy and shiny, always beating it away
Frantic spray floods the luscious garden from behind
Trying to swim beneath a language o’ an elaborate mind
Winter crushes drool over lovely eyes
On top, producing no sleep as we lie
Together, eternity is an essential chain
Manipulating me through bitter rain
Mothers can ask to stop, but still get to blow
I pound your fluff and then must go
Getting shot in some hair is easy when you are not above
Shadows o’ their enormous size is what you vision and love

Circa 1998

*Author’s Note: I feel I should explain this mess. It was written in college on a buddy’s fridge with the non-x-rated magnetic poetry. It is horribly juvenile and I love it all the more for that reason.

Doing My Best To Silently Refrain

wedding-1028067.jpg

Doing my best to silently refrain
A passion growing down deep
I can’t keep my hands to myself
Visions of your purity in my sleep
Listening to your tranquil pleas
Watching every movement slip
Packaged perfectly in my arms
Suddenly free with one swift rip

Patron Saint Of Drunks & Losers

Patron saint of drunks & losers

Patrick forever look over me

Protect me from any harm

Whether I walk the land or sail the sea

Falling through each day a shell of a man

Visions of a woman out on a distant shore

My lifeless body contains a broken heart

Where love & blood beat no more

Questioning all those past decisions

I stand challenging the fair winds to blow

Somehow my soul needs to make it back

To discover that woman I used to know
